The Town of Rushford is in the northwest part of Allegany County.  According to the 2010 Census, the population is 1,150.  The Town has a total area of 36.1 square miles, of which 35.3 miles is land and 0.8 miles is water.

Hamlets within the Town of Rushford include Balcom Beach, Fairview, Hardy Corners, and Hillcrest.
